How to make Banana bread
A few people asked me the recipe for the banana bread I made for the anniversary class. So here it is.
But before you go and grab your bananas, let me tell you that the bananas must be ripe and when I write -ripe- I mean spotty brownish bananas, something like this:
So forget about yellow bananas, this bread is actually a great opportunity to use the ones that you are about to throw away. The recipe is really simple and you can easily make it gluten free using gluten free flour.
– 3 Bananas (use 4 if they are small)
– 100 g butter (melted)
– 1 egg
– 1tsp baking soda (bikarbonat)
– 1tsp vanilla powder
– pinch of salt
– 3 dl flour
– 1 dl walnuts, chopped
Preheat the oven to 180°C
Mash the bananas with a fork, add the melted butter, egg, baking soda, vanilla powder and salt and mix well with a wooden spoon. Add the flour and mix just to incorporate the ingredients (do not over mix, just enough the mix the flour and stop) add the walnuts and mix them in to distribute evenly through the batter.
Butter a small loaf pan. Pour the batter in the pan. Bake for 50 minutes approx.
Enjoy 🙂
Thanks for sharing this fantastic recipe. <3
