Spinal disc herniation and yoga?
Well, after several cases of spinal disc herniation, a five-year-old and a two-month-old baby, sleep deprivation and with hopes of less back pain, I bought a membership at Hot Yoga Uppsala. Backbends are like medication for spinal disc herniation!
It has now been two months, and I feel much stronger and already feel considerably less pain in my back. After class I feel invigorated, and every time I do yoga I get a chance to practise mindfulness, which usually is a challenge in my life. I also feel inspired by so many incredibly strong and competent women in yoga; exercise with an element of strength is often linked to men, as sadly are many vigorous activities. If it were possible, I would exercise at Hot Yoga Uppsala every day!
