Hot Vinyasa Flow

The beginning

We will be soon starting with a few classes of hot vinyasa flow in the studio. There have been a few students asking if we are going to take away some bikram classes and add vinyasa instead. Don’t worry! We are not moving any bikram classes, the schedule stays the same, the vinyasa classes will be on those times where we have nothing on the schedule. You use your same membership for all the classes, no need to buy anything else.

 

Class structure

There will be two different classes on the schedule, the hot vinyasa flow 60 and 75 and level 2.  All classes are held in between 33-35°C, beginners are welcome. The word Vinyasa means breath-synchronized movement. In other words, the teacher will instruct you to move from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale. Class starts with pranayama followed by sun salutations, standing postures, inversions, forward bends, back bends, finishing on savasana. Every class is different from each other, although the beginning and ending will be almost the same. Hot vinyasa flow is a physically demanding class where the yoga poses connect with each other moving on a ”flow”.  Movement connects with your breath making you conscious on how to keep your breath flowing throughout the class.

 

Finally, expect your body to sweat and be challenged although everybody goes to their maximum in different ways and modifications are always available to fit everyone’s practice and need, you might use props like blocks from class to class depending on the posture.

Vinyasa hot flow is a great complement to other sports and even to bikram yoga, where you get to stretch, develop strength and test your balance with new postures.
